About Josh

In 2004, I was working my first summer job in construction. One lunch break, my boss tossed me a copy of Truckin’ Magazine. I flipped it open and got hit with page after page of trucks covered in paint jobs that looked alive. Flames that felt like they were in motion. Graphics that didn’t just sit on metal—they owned it.

A few weeks later, I bought my first airbrush. Nights turned into practice sessions fueled by DVDs, Airbrush Action magazines, and a growing obsession. It wasn’t just a hobby—it took over. I knew I wasn’t meant for the job site. I was meant for the paint booth.

I went all in. I got into the Bachelor of Fine Arts program at The University of Western Ontario and airbrushed my way through every opportunity. Then I took things further with a seven-day workshop in North Carolina with custom paint legend Craig Fraser—learning techniques, attitude, and the wild energy of the custom paint world.

Fast forward to 2021. I left construction behind, packed up my family, and moved from St. Thomas, Ontario to Brookfield, Nova Scotia. Now, my studio sits on a busy little hobby farm with a crew of pets and a flock of “fancy” chickens watching me work.

When it comes to what I paint, flames and skulls are always going to sit high on the list. But it’s pretty clear when you look at my work—animals and wildlife fuel a huge part of my inspiration.

I work with Createx water-based paints—tough enough for cars, bikes, helmets, tumblers, leather, wood… if it’ll hold paint, I’ll turn it into a canvas.

And around here in Nova Scotia, with all the ATVs and side-by-sides tearing up the trails? Let’s just say there’s a lot of blank surfaces begging for attitude.

This isn’t just a job. It’s the life I chose—and I love every second of it.

Over 20 Years Experience

From early days practicing on scrap panels to fine art pieces, motorcycles, helmets, and pet portraits that make people do double takes—I’ve spent 20 years mastering control, layering techniques, and the kind of detail that only comes from time in the booth.

Createx Airbrush Paint

I work exclusively with Createx paints—top-tier, water-based paints built for serious performance. Createx delivers vibrant color, smooth flow, and excellent durability, which means the artwork doesn’t just look amazing—it lasts. Whether it’s a helmet, a hot rod, or a T-shirt, I trust Createx to make sure every piece comes out bold, clean, and ready to turn heads.

Any Surface, Any Time

I don’t believe in limits when it comes to a canvas. Metal, fabric, wood, helmets, cars, bikes, tumblers—if it holds paint, I can bring it to life. A small custom piece or a full-blown automotive job, I love pushing creativity across different surfaces. Each project is a chance to transform something ordinary into a one-of-a-kind statement.
