About Josh
In 2004 was working a construction summer job—boots on gravel, sun on my back, sawdust in the air. At lunch one day, my boss handed me a copy of Truckin’ Magazine. I flipped it open and bam—page after page of trucks wearing paint like armor. Flames that looked alive. Graphics that didn’t just sit on the metal—they owned it.
That was the spark.
A few weeks later, I picked up my first airbrush. My nights turned into a blur of practice sessions, DVDs, and Airbrush Action magazines. It wasn’t a hobby. It was a takeover. I knew right then my life wasn’t headed for the job site—it was headed for the paint booth.
I dove all in. I got accepted into the Bachelor of Fine Arts program at The University of Western Ontario, and I airbrushed my way through every class I could. Then I took it up a gear with a seven-day workshop in North Carolina with the legendary Craig Fraser—learning tricks, techniques, and that wild west energy of the custom paint world.
Fast forward to 2021. I left construction behind for good, packed up my family, and rolled out from St. Thomas, Ontario to Brookfield, Nova Scotia. These days, my studio sits on a busy little hobby farm with 13 pets and a flock of “fancy” chickens watching me work.
Yeah, I love skulls, fire, and old-school hot rod flames—they’re classic for a reason. But my real passion? Animals. There’s nothing like taking a reference photo and breathing life into fur, feathers, or scales with paint. It hits different.
I shoot with Createx water-based paints—built tough for cars, bikes, helmets, T-shirts, leather, wood, tumblers… if it’ll hold paint, I’ll make it a canvas.
And here in Nova Scotia, with trails packed full of ATVs and side-by-sides just begging for attitude? Let’s just say… they don’t know what’s coming.
This isn’t just a job for me. It’s a passion.
Over 20 Years Experience
Createx Airbrush Paint
I work exclusively with Createx paints—top-tier, water-based paints built for serious performance. Createx delivers vibrant color, smooth flow, and excellent durability, which means the artwork doesn’t just look amazing—it lasts. Whether it’s a helmet, a hot rod, or a T-shirt, I trust Createx to make sure every piece comes out bold, clean, and ready to turn heads.
Any Surface, Any Time
I don’t believe in limits when it comes to a canvas. Metal, fabric, wood, helmets, cars, bikes, tumblers—if it holds paint, I can bring it to life. A small custom piece or a full-blown automotive job, I love pushing creativity across different surfaces. Each project is a chance to transform something ordinary into a one-of-a-kind statement.
